This updated blueprint now aligns with National Curriculum Standards set out by FDA. Our next step is to conduct a passing score study to set the new cut score for the examination. This work will be done prior to publishing the first form on the new CP-FS examination blueprint. We thank all the wonderful SMEs for donating their time and knowledge to this extremely important endeavor:

I also work on the communications side of NEHA, designing pro- motional materials to market the events that NEHA works hard to put on each year. The reason I value this role is that I get to work on so many diŽerent projects at once, expanding my skill sets and keeping things interesting! In my spare time, I can usually be found going on a walk or hike with my dog (Chief), crocheting, or attending a concert. Brandie Rome

I joined the NEHA team in November 2023 and have learned so much about the environmental health profession and the exceptional workforce that is dedicated to the health and safety of their communi- ties. I admire that dedication and do all I can to support and mirror that commit- ment to our members and partners. My extensive experience of more than 25

years of customer support and problem-solving has been integral to my ability to provide exceptional support to our community and become a trusted resource for our membership and NEHA coworkers in record time. Being the only full-time employee who works every day in the Denver o¡ce, I am honored to be the face of our head- quarters and to make sure it is a warm and welcoming place for all. My career has led me many places, but my experience lies mainly in o¡ce management and legal administration. I have served on the boards of the local and national associations for legal administrators. I also worked at the Colorado Bar Association in the law practice and risk management section where I helped new attorneys know how to set up the business side of their firm. These skills helped me hone the art of wearing lots of hats and shifting gears quickly, which comes in handy as an administrative assistant at NEHA. I regularly work for six diŽerent departments within NEHA, and many more as needed. I have loved getting to know our staŽ. They make the job a joy and I appreciated being welcomed with open arms. When I am not giving it my best at work, I am doing my best for my terrific daughter and being the best single momma I can. She is 8 years old and the light of my life. I also have a sweet but ornery lab pointer mix, Hondo, who will be 14 years old in November and who still keeps me on my toes. Originally from the Midwest, I have been in Colorado since I was 9 years old, going to elementary school through college here. I love Colorado and the mountains. When I have free time, I enjoy camping, cooking, gardening, and the vibrant music and cultural scenes.

I joined NEHA in November 2023 as a graphic designer with the Entrepreneur- ial Zone (EZ). Before I joined the NEHA team, I started my career at an engineer- ing consulting firm as a junior graphic designer. I worked at the firm for 2.5 years, gaining experience and skills that I have brought with me to NEHA. In 2021, I graduated from Creigh-

ton University in Omaha, Nebraska, with my bachelor’s degree in advertising and graphic design. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for graphic design specifically through the lens of communications. I am lucky to put this passion to work every day here at NEHA. I use graphic design to communicate and educate the environmental health workforce on the topics NEHA specializes in. I specifically design online and print versions of our various food safety books.

In December, our Board of Directors will appoint a qualified individual to fill the vice- president vacancy for Region 3. This appointed individual will serve the remainder of the 2024–2027 term. If you reside in Region 3 (see page 44) and are interested, please visit www.neha.org/rvp3-appt-24.
