21. Interpretation and Severability
21. 1 In the interpretation of this Code, the singular may be read as the plural, the masculine gender as the feminine or neutral, and the present tense as the past or future where the context so dictates. 21.2 In the event any particular clause or section of this Code should be declared invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining portions remain in full force and effect. Toward that end, the provisions of this Code are declared to be severable.
