Preparing an Advisory ƒ Contact experts to answer key questions needed for specific messaging. ƒ Develop, format, and translate the message. ƒ Approve the advisory. ƒ Identify the spokespersons. ƒ Assign communication responsibilities. Distributing an Advisory ƒ Inform elected officials, public officials, and key partners. ƒ Implement your communication platforms. ƒ Use your communication network to expand the distribution of the advisory. ƒ Work with the media.
